Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

And when you walk down the street…

It’s that time of year again. Time for family, friends, and of course food! We want to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. May it be filled with the tastiest and safest of treats! When cooking with family remember the basics – wash your hands, cook food fully, refrigerate leftovers, and sanitize any surface that touched raw meat before using it again.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone at Praedium!

And don’t forget to thank a farmer for the food on your plate. Whether they’re small, large, family owned, local, conventional, organic, or anything in between: Animals need to eat and chores must be done, even on Christmas Day!

Executive Women in Agriculture

In the beginning of December, Praedium had the opportunity to attend the Executive Women in Agriculture 2013 Conference. At the third annual meeting hosted in Chicago a member of our staff had the opportunity to meet with lots of female executives involved in all aspects of the food supply chain. The program covered topics in food safety, sustainable agriculture production and some of the challenges associated with generational transitions. There is a lot of talent and knowledge maintained by females in agriculture and we are proud to be a part of what they do.
